FINGER JOINT FEEDER CF30
Smart Bin Picking & Grain Orientation in a Compact 1m² Footprint.
The CF30 is a compact robotic cell designed to solve your feeding bottleneck. Unlike standard integrators, Mechanika Engineering has developed its own proprietary vision software specifically for timber processing, ensuring unmatched precision and adaptability.
KEY BENEFITS
Ultra-Compact Design: The core system occupies just ~1m² of floor space, fitting right where a manual operator would stand.
Proprietary Grain Orientation: Powered by our in-house developed algorithms, the system scans the end-grain (annual rings) and intelligently rotates the board. This balances internal tension for perfectly straight finger-jointed products.
Smart Bin Picking: Our custom 3D vision system enables the robot to pick boards directly from chaotic, unstructured piles. No manual pre-stacking needed.
ROI < 1 Year: Running 2 shifts? This system typically pays for itself in under 12 months by eliminating labor costs and reducing material waste.
HOW DOES IT GUARANTEE STRAIGHT TIMBER
Timber naturally warps away from the log's center (the heart). Random manual feeding leads to compounded tension, creating crooked beams (the "banana effect"). The CF30 detects the heart position and rotates each board to balance these internal tensions. By alternating the grain structure, the forces cancel each other out.
